Will You Change Your Mind?

I’m not really sure why there is all this discussion to determine whether abortion is murder. There is one sure-fire way to answer that question for yourself. Watch an abortion! You say, that is ridiculous, absurd! I say do you really want to know for sure? Do it!

You cannot ask the women who have had abortions for the answer, they were either heavily sedated or more likely anesthetized. Any doctor, nurse or pathologist who has done or assisted in an abortions, and can continue to do abortions, has a seared conscience, so you will not get an honest answer from them. You can read all the propaganda that you want from Planned Parenthood and every other pro-choice organization there is, but if you want to know if what they are telling you is really the truth - watch an abortion.

I do not mean a video or pictures which seem overly grotesque and staged. I suggest the real thing. Start with the ultrasound of that baby as the heartbeat is established and you will get a glimpse of a baby already full of life! Then proceed to the abortion clinic with the mother. Go with her through every stage of the procedure from the initial interview to the minute she walks out the door.

I have. As a registered nurse working in an abortion clinic, I assisted in the abortion of several hundred babies.

I was there because I was taught and believed that we can do what we want with our own bodies, and abortion is just an extension of this philosophy.

My assignments were changed every day, so I worked in all areas of the clinic except those I was restricted from. I was with the young woman as she found out the results of her urine test and the pregnancy was confirmed. I sat in on the entrance interview as the “alternatives” to this pregnancy were presented to the mother by one of the two women who owned the clinic and collected the money.

I personally examined these women to see how many weeks or months pregnant they were. I reinforced the premise that this was their best option. They would still have doubts and questions. I would tell them this was not a boy or girl, not a life, but a mass of cells. On days that I was in the pre-op area I coached the mothers to go on with their abortion despite their continuing fears. I reassured them that it would be over before they knew what had happened.

I assisted in the operating room.

In the recovery room they asked the same questions after the abortion was over, they wanted to know about their baby, was it a girl or boy, what color eyes and hair did they have, could they feel anything. My reply was not to worry, it was just a mass of cells, not really a baby.

When it was time to go home, I took them to the cozy little room with warm lights and couches, gave them a snack, counseled them on birth control methods, and then told them if they had any bleeding, pain or other problems to go to their local ER, do not call the clinic. You signed off all responsibility of the clinic, for any risks or complications that may occur, including possible death.

I was doing this for extra money, but at the same time truly convinced that abortion was okay. This was not a living baby.

So what changed my mind?

It was on one particular day when I walked into the restricted area of the abortion clinic where the pathologist would examine what was removed from the mother to make sure all was there. I saw more than I bargained for that day. All the fully-formed parts of a baby, 14-16 weeks gestation, were strewn across the table. All except for the parts that were torn apart beyond recognition. Yes, a baby in every sense of the word, not a blob of tissue or mass of cells as I had been deceived into thinking. What sticks in my mind, 25 years later, is the fully formed rib cage, the tiny legs bent at the knees, the arms, the fingers and toes. For me years and years of secular humanistic teaching were all discredited in a moment’s time. I had seen it for myself. This was a baby, not a mass of cells. This baby was alive and then killed - we call that murder.

What will change your mind?

You have read my first hand account, but I doubt that you will believe it. Very few have really ever seen an abortion. If you take the challenge you will know the truth. Do it! You will change your mind!
