Attempted Terrorism
On July 21st, bombs were meant to detonate in London. For some unknown reason they did not.

Nineteen people are being held and questioned about the attempted bombing. All five of the would-be homicide bombers have been captured.

NASA
In 2003, a chunk of insulation foam hit the wing of the space shuttle Columbia. It resulted in the death of all astronauts on board. Last week, a piece of foam fell off of Discovery during it's takeoff. Fortunately everyone on the shuttle is safe, and repairs were made. Discovery has been the first flight since the tragedy of Columbia.

Because of these accidents the question of continuing the space shuttle program has been raised. It should be interesting to see what comes of this.

I would encourage you to pray for the safety of the Discovery crew. They are scheduled to land next week.

Doonsburied
The comic, Doonesbury, was edited, removed, and replaced by many newspapers this past week. Appearently they thought Garry Trudeau's (editor of Doonesbury) nickname for Karl Rove was too vulgar.

I don't mind humor, and I don't mind humor that makes fun of my political bias. I don't even mind political name calling. What I do mind is the continual bashing of my President, the decisions he's made, and the disrespect of my country. If you don't like it, Mr. Trudeau, move to France.

Or you could just move back to Canada, Eh?
